September 4, Brazilian Serie A club Botafogo officially announced that former Manchester United and Al-Nassr left-back Telles has joined the team on a free transfer. The contract is signed until the end of 2026.
The 31-year-old Telles plays as a left-back. He came through the youth academy of Brazilian Serie A club Juventude, then moved through Grêmio, Galatasaray, and Porto. In 2020, he joined the Premier League with Manchester United for a transfer fee of 15 million euros. In the summer of 2023, he transferred to the Saudi Professional League club Al-Nassr, reuniting with his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
This summer, Al-Nassr announced the termination of Telles’ contract and proactively paid the termination fee. Currently, the player’s market value is 6 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
