On the morning of August 31, Everton officially announced that Chelsea striker Armando Broja has joined the team on a one-year loan deal.
It was understood that Broja appeared set to join Ipswich earlier in the week, but a medical examination revealed that the Albanian international currently has injury concerns. However, this did not deter Everton from securing the 23-year-old on a loan deal that will run until the end of the season.
Broja is currently sidelined with a foot injury and will immediately link up with Everton’s medical staff to complete his rehabilitation process. Following the completion of this loan deal, Everton’s Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, said: “We have been monitoring Broja’s development for several years, and we are very pleased to bring him to the club.
“Broja is still a young player who has already amassed some impressive experience, but we believe there is still much potential to be unlocked. First and foremost, we will work with him to get him back to full fitness as soon as possible. After that, his addition will strengthen our attacking options.”
