On August 23, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes discussed the club’s transfers and is not optimistic about the incoming new signing, Rodrigo Ugarte. Instead, he hopes that Manchester United can bring in İlkay Gündogan or Martin Zubimendi.
When talking about the incoming new signing Ugarte, Scholes said, “I watched a few of his games last season and I think his ball control is lacking. In my view, Ugarte has a style similar to Amrabat’s, maybe slightly better.”
Scholes spoke about the type of new signings he believes would be suitable for Manchester United: “I hope Manchester United can bring in a player with tactical awareness who can control the ball, such as Gündogan or Zubimendi. I know it won’t happen, but what I’m saying is that Manchester United needs this kind of player.”
In the new season, Manchester United needs to regroup. In the first round of Premier League matches, Manchester United secured a winning start by defeating Fulham 1-0. However, in the second round, Manchester United will face Brighton, who are in good form, which will be a significant test for the Red Devils.
