On July 30, Shanxi faced off against Shanghai in the CBA Summer League.
In the first quarter, Shanxi entered the game with more momentum, quickly pulling ahead to a 21-9 lead. After a timeout, Shanghai started to catch up, and by the end of the first quarter, Shanxi led 29-22.
In the second quarter, Shanghai’s offense suddenly went cold, and for over half the quarter, they were outscored by Shanxi 18-0. Shanghai then managed to score five consecutive points to halt their slide.
In this game, Shanghai’s starting center Wang Zhelin performed poorly, missing all five of his shots and failing to score any points so far.
