On July 25, FIBA officially updated the second episode of the Paris Olympic Women’s Basketball power rankings, with some significant changes in the standings.
Compared to the initial power rankings, the ranking of the Chinese Women’s Basketball team has risen one place, moving from sixth to fifth. The Japanese Women’s Basketball team dropped five places, falling from fourth to ninth. The U.S. Women’s Basketball team remains firmly at the top, while host nation France surpassed Belgium to rise to second place. Belgium is now third, Australia fourth, and Canada sixth.
In terms of the Chinese Women’s Basketball team’s group opponents, Spain has moved up to seventh place, Serbia has risen from tenth to eighth, and Puerto Rico remains in eleventh place. Germany is now in tenth place, and Nigeria continues to be at the bottom of the rankings.
