In the ongoing Paris Olympics, the triathlon has concluded, with the controversial water quality of the Seine River drawing criticism from participants.
Swedish athlete Tilda Manson commented in a post-race interview: “I could tell the water quality was bad; it felt like swimming in wastewater. The water wasn’t very clean, and I probably need a shower after this.” Previously, the triathlon event had been postponed due to the Seine River’s substandard water quality.
Additionally, media captured footage of Canadian athlete Tyler Mislawchuk vomiting repeatedly after the race, further casting doubt on the water quality of the Seine River.
