According to Xinhua News Agency, the International Swimming Federation recently announced the results of their large-scale pre-competition anti-doping testing for the Paris Olympic Games, stating that China’s swimming team underwent the most intensive testing, with an average of 21 tests per person over a period of more than six months.
The statement specifically highlighted that the Chinese swimmers were tested more frequently than any other team during this period.
The report indicated that since January 1, 2024, each member of China’s swimming team had been tested an average of 21 times, while the average number of doping tests per athlete for the 46-member U.S. swimming team was only six times, and the 41-member Australian team had an average of just four tests per person.
In fact, there were also seven other swimming teams with over 20 members from countries such as Italy, the UK, and France, where the average number of tests per athlete was between four and five.
