In this morning’s Olympic men’s basketball group stage match, the U.S. Men’s National Team defeated South Sudan 103-86.
Following the game, U.S. Men’s National Team player Edwards spoke to media reporters.
When asked about his teammate Embiid being heavily booed by fans, Edwards said:
“I don’t know what’s going on, I don’t understand why he is always getting booed. But you guys (Team France) have Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert, and you want Embiid to play with you too? You have Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert, what more do you want? Do you want three seven-footers on the court?”
