Recently, Juventus officially announced the transfer of Dean Wyssen to Bournemouth.
The announcement reads as follows:
Juventus’ story with Dutch-born defender Dean Wyssen has come to an end, with the player joining Premier League club Bournemouth on a permanent transfer. The transfer fee for this deal is €15.2 million, to be paid over five financial years. Additionally, there is a maximum of €3 million in variable bonuses. After deducting ancillary costs (joint compensation mechanism fees and intermediary fees), the economic effect of the transaction on this financial year is €13.7 million.
Wyssen’s journey with the Bianconeri began in the summer of 2021 when he arrived in Turin from Málaga. After a brief stint with the U17 team, he was called up to the U19 squad. During the 22/23 season, he made 40 appearances for both the U19 and Next Gen teams, scoring ten goals. His impressive performances at the youth level earned him the opportunity to participate in two friendly matches with the first team in December 2022.
These matches opened the door for him to the first team, and he spent most of the first half of last season training with the squad, making his debut against AC Milan. In January this year, Wyssen was loaned out to Roma, where he made 14 appearances in league and Coppa Italia matches, scoring two goals.
Thank you for everything, and good luck, Wyssen!
