According to French media outlet Foot Mercato, Rennes management is dissatisfied with head coach Julien Stéphan’s performance and hopes to invite former AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli to take the helm.
The report points out that Julien Stéphan’s second stint at Rennes has not been successful, with a win rate in the league of less than 50%, and Rennes management has already begun plans to replace him. Former AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli is their top choice.
It is worth noting that new Rennes director Massara previously worked at AC Milan, where he had extensive experience working with Pioli, including winning the Serie A championship during his tenure. He has already designated Pioli as the successor to Stéphan.
