According to The Athletic’s chief reporter David Ornstein, Fulham are close to agreeing a deal with Arsenal for the signing of midfielder Smith Rowe.
Negotiations between the two clubs have centered around a transfer fee reaching up to £35 million. This transfer fee would set a new record for Fulham’s signings and match Arsenal’s highest-ever transfer fee.
Per the agreement reached by the clubs, Smith Rowe must undergo a medical and agree on personal terms before the proposed transfer can be completed.
It is reported that Fulham had previously made an offer of £30 million for Smith Rowe, which was rejected by Arsenal. On the player’s side, he is also seeking a move in search of playing opportunities.
