On July 25, in the just concluded women’s individual ranking round of the Paris Olympic Archery competition, South Korean archer Lin Si-A set a new world record with 694 points, securing the top spot in the women’s ranking. Chinese archer Yang Xiaolei placed third, while Li Jiaman ranked ninth.
It is reported that Lin Si-A’s score of 694 points broke the previous record of 692 points set by her compatriot Kang Chae-Young in 2019. Lin Si-A is currently the ace player of the South Korean women’s archery team, born in June 2003. Representing the South Korean archery team at the 2023 Asian Games, she won gold medals in women’s individual, women’s team, and mixed team events.
