On July 22, FC Barcelona officially announced that center-back Ronald Araujo successfully underwent surgery today for his right thigh tendon injury and will now begin his recovery process.
Araujo suffered the injury during the quarterfinal match against Brazil in this year’s Copa America. Initially, it was thought that he would only need a two-month layoff, but according to multiple reports, his injury is more severe than expected, and he is now anticipated to be out for four months, returning to action only in December.
