On July 19, AC Milan Football Club officially announced that Spanish international forward Álvaro Morata has joined the team and signed until 2028. In the new season, Morata will wear the No. 7 jersey for Milan.
The 31-year-old Morata has played for several top clubs in the major leagues throughout his career, including Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, and Atlético Madrid.
Last season, he made 48 appearances for Atlético Madrid across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists. In the recently concluded European Championship, he also featured seven times as the starting forward for Spain, contributing one goal and one assist, ultimately winning the European Championship title with the national team.
According to previous reports, AC Milan secured Morata from Atlético Madrid by paying a breach of contract fee of 13 million euros. He will wear the No. 7 jersey for the Rossoneri in the new season and return to compete in Serie A.
