Recently, Italy’s men’s football coach, Spalletti, revealed in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport that he intends to invite several Italian football legends, including Baggio, Totti, and Pirlo, to join the squad during their journey to Germany for the tournament. He believes their presence can provide a mental boost to the team.
Spalletti said, “I’ve already discussed this with the FA President, and they will soon extend invitations. I’m convinced that with these heroes by our side, our boys can push themselves beyond their limits.”
“I’d also like to include Rivera; he was the number 10 of my era. These legendary figures can share their experiences with us, tell us the stories of their triumphs – it will fuel our motivation.”
“I prefer players who might not be exceptionally talented but have exceptional spirit. The Italy national team jersey is unparalleled, and we must wear it with pride around the clock.”
