According to recent reports in The Mirror, English football stars are planning “military-grade” security measures during the Euros to ensure the safety of themselves and their families.
It is understood that top England players intend to invest around £250,000 in infrared and night-vision cameras, as well as 24-hour security, during the tournament in Germany. They will also employ former special forces personnel and install safe rooms in their residences.
Players involved in this plan potentially include Harry Maguire, Jordan Pickford, and Jack Grealish. Previously, Grealish’s new home was targeted by a group of thieves, terrifying him and his family. The robbers stole jewelry and watches worth around £1 million, but fortunately, Grealish’s family members were unharmed.
A source revealed, “The cost of security systems inside the players’ homes is between £120,000 and £150,000, and they have booked 24-hour security for the Euros. During the competition, you have to book security for a month in case England reaches the final, so the final bill could be around £250,000.”
