Following amicable negotiations, Shanghai Port Football Club and Muangthong United Football Club of the Thai League have reached an agreement for Brazilian player Willian Popp to join Shanghai Port FC on loan.
Willian Popp was born in 1994 and stands at 1.78 meters tall. He is a professional footballer from Brazil who plays as a forward. He has previously played for Joinville Esporte Clube in Brazil, Busan IPark FC in South Korea, Avispa Fukuoka in Japan, and Bucheon FC 1995 in South Korea.
In 2020, Willian Popp joined the strong Muangthong United FC of the Thai League. During his tenure, he made appearances in 97 matches across various competitions, scoring 60 goals and providing 18 assists. As a consistently high-performing striker, he was a key player and often contributed decisive goals in crucial games.
We believe that Willian Popp’s addition will provide more tactical options for our team in the upcoming AFC Champions League elite matches. We hope he integrates quickly with his teammates and contributes to bringing more victories and honors to the Port family.
