According to the Japanese media outlet, Mainichi Shimbun, 23-year-old Japanese international footballer Sano Kaiju, along with two 20-year-old men, are under arrest by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Hombu Fuji Police Station for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at a hotel in Tokyo.
The police have not disclosed whether the three individuals are guilty. They are accused of conspiring to sexually assault a female individual after 4:00 AM on July 14th at a hotel in the Ueno area of Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.
Per the police station, the woman immediately called 110 following the incident. Responding officers found the three men on a street near the hotel. Prior to the incident, these three men and the woman had been dining together, and the police department is currently investigating the details of the situation.
Sano Kaiju made his debut for the Japanese national team last November. Recently, he officially announced his transfer to Bundesliga club Mainz, signing a four-year contract with the team.
