On July 17th, Cahill updated his IG status to bid farewell to Yokohama F. Marinos.
The message reads as follows:
I am truly grateful to the Chairman of Yokohama F. Marinos for the opportunity to coach this team. I thank the fans for their unparalleled support for me and my players.
Though I was unable to see out my time at the club through to its conclusion, looking back on this journey fills me with immense pride. Competing for the AFC Champions League title was a formidable challenge; although we fell short in the final, the high spirits and fond memories of this season will forever be etched in our hearts.
Thank you to all the unsung heroes behind the scenes at the club. May you have smooth sailing for the remainder of the season and beyond.
Japan will always hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to returning soon.
