In the just concluded Euro semi-final, thanks to goals from Gavi and Olmo, Spain staged a comeback to defeat France 2-1 and advanced to the final.
This is also the first time since 2012 that Spain has returned to the Euro final. In the 2012 Euro final, Spain successfully defended their title by defeating Italy 4-0. In the previous Euro, Spain was stopped in the semi-finals after losing to Italy on penalties.
At the same time, Spain has become the first team in Euro history to advance to the final with a perfect winning record (UEFA considers extra-time victories as wins). They will compete for the final championship against the winner of tomorrow’s match between England and the Netherlands.
