The European Cup final concluded in the early hours of today, with Spain triumphing 2-1 over England to clinch the title. Following the match, Sevilla FC also highlighted several impressive records achieved by their 38-year-old captain, Navas.
Navas faced off against Southgate in the 2006 UEFA Cup final and ultimately emerged victorious.
In all six continental tournaments that Spain has won, there was always a Sevilla player involved – and in five of those, it was Navas.
Aside from the 2013 Confederations Cup, Navas reached the final and won every major tournament he played in for the Spanish national team.
Navas is now the player with the most national team titles on the planet: one World Cup, two European Championships, and one Nations League title.
