The UEFA has announced a significant adjustment to the rules for this year’s Euro Cup Golden Boot Award. The ranking criteria will be limited to goals scored only, which could result in an unusual scenario where six players may share the award.
Before the final match, there are six players leading the Euro Cup goal scorer list: Kane (England), Olmo (Spain), Musiala (Germany), Gakpo (Netherlands), Mikautadze (Georgia), and Schranz (Slovakia).
If both Kane and Olmo fail to score in the final, the top scorers’ list will be locked with these six players tied for first place. According to the new rule that disregards assists and penalties for ranking purposes, all six players will jointly win the Golden Boot Award!
