Slovakia national team coach Francesco Calzona has unveiled a 32-man preliminary squad for the UEFA Euro.
The list features defender Milan ?kriniar, David Hancko, midfielder Stanislav Lobotka, and Ján Gregu?, who has returned from health issues. The final 26-man squad for the Euros will be announced on June 7.
After a preparatory training camp for players whose seasons ended earlier, the team will enter a crucial phase with a training camp in Bad Erlach, Austria, ahead of the Euros. Slovakia plans two friendly matches before heading to the host nation Germany: against San Marino on June 5 (in Wiener Neustadt) and versus Wales on June 9 (in Trnava). Coach Calzona will finalize the Euro squad on June 7.
New faces like Dominik Holec, Matú? Kmet, and Tomá? Rygol have also been included in the Austrian training squad. Slovakia is expected to depart for the tournament venues on June 11. Their group stage fixtures are as follows: they face Belgium in Frankfurt on June 17, Ukraine in Düsseldorf on June 21, and Romania back in Frankfurt on June 26.
