According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has not entered the race for Matthijs de Ligt, with the player solely focused on a reunion with Erik ten Hag.
On his personal YouTube channel, Romano stated, “Bayern Munich is keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen’s central defender Tah and is confident of completing the deal. Manchester United remains in talks with Bayern regarding the structure of De Ligt’s transfer.”
“United hopes to include add-ons in their offer to lower the fixed transfer fee, hence discussions are ongoing to find the best solution. The club has already received the player’s permission for the transfer. Despite rumors of PSG’s interest, as far as I know, De Ligt and his agent have only granted negotiation permission to Manchester United.”
“De Ligt’s desire is very clear – he wants to join the Premier League, play at Old Trafford, and reunite with the manager who trusts him, Ten Hag. After a few challenging years, the Dutch defender is eager to work again with the coach who had faith in him.”
