July 2nd According to the Tianjin-based newspaper “The Daily News,” Dalian and Shenyang have emerged as frontrunners to host China’s national team for their first home match in the Qualifiers, due to factors such as the team’s schedule and travel considerations.
Benefiting from their relatively short travel distance, these two cities have gained an edge in the race to host the team. As per the Japan Football Association, the Chinese men’s national football team will face Japan on September 5th at the Saitama 2002 Stadium in Japan.
After the match, the Chinese team will need to return home promptly to prepare for the next fixture. Hence, cities with direct flights and shorter travel routes are being prioritized, making Dalian and Shenyang strong candidates for the first home venue of China’s 18th Qualifier game.
