Early on July 4th, Italian Serie B club Pisa officially announced that 50-year-old Filippo Inzaghi has been named as the team’s new head coach.
The 50-year-old Inzaghi is a legendary figure in Italian football, having won the UEFA Champions League twice with AC Milan and being a key part of Italy’s 2006 World Cup-winning squad. After retiring, he has managed several Italian clubs, including AC Milan, Bologna, Benevento, and Salernitana.
Last season, Pisa finished 13th in Serie B with 11 wins, 13 draws, and 14 losses. The new campaign will see them embark on a new journey under the guidance of Filippo Inzaghi.
