Jakarta – Francesco Bagnaia, the rider for the Ducati Lenovo Team, predicts that the 2024 MotoGP season will become even more exciting with Marc Marquez joining the Ducati satellite team, Gresini.
The arrival of “The Baby Alien” at the Gresini Ducati Team is seen by many as a move that could re-establish his competitiveness. This is because Marquez will be riding the Desmosedici GP23 motorcycle, which puts Bagnaia in the crosshairs for the MotoGP World Championship title.
Despite it being “just” the 2023 model bike, Marquez is still considered a major threat to Bagnaia, similar to Jorge Martin, who, despite riding the 2022 Desmosedici, has been a nuisance for Pecco in the 2023 MotoGP season.
Bagnaia, however, remains calm and refrains from commenting on Marquez’s performance with Ducati. The student of Valentino Rossi reveals that with more strong riders on fast bikes in the 2024 season, the competition will be intense and entertaining.
“I can’t say much now. But we’ll see later; it’s going to be interesting,” Bagnaia said, as reported by Motosan.
“As always, a different season awaits us, with many competitors, many fast bikes – it’s going to be enjoyable.
Aware that the competition will be fiercer, Bagnaia remains ambitious to defend his MotoGP World Champion title for the third time.
“It will be a long season, and we saw last year how many riders had ups and downs, so consistency is crucial,” Francesco Bagnaia concluded.
