This year, the 2024 MXGP (Motocross World Championship) will be held at the Shanghai International Off-Road Racing Circuit in Fengxian District, from September 15 to 16.
Originating in the UK, MXGP is the pinnacle of global off-road motorcycle racing, considered one of the four classic motorcycle events alongside F1, WRC, and MotoGP, with a history spanning over a century.
During May 17-20 at the Beijing International Motorcycle Exhibition, MXGP’s Chinese official operator, Hui Group, showcased brands like JUST1, Torc, TankedRacing, ScorpionExo, and Cardo, presenting their latest products. They brought the highly acclaimed MXGP World Champion Herlings’ VR experience, tailored for the race’s characteristics, to Beijing.
During this period, the 2024 China Motorcycle Industry Summit took place in Beijing. MXGP China’s Chief Communications Officer Huang Yihao emphasized that the MXGP China event has contributed to technological advancements in the country’s motorcycle industry. Collaborating with domestic manufacturers, Hui Group plans to establish clubs to participate in international competitions, offering Chinese riders opportunities to compete and exchange with the world’s top MXGP athletes, fostering the sport’s growth and popularity in the country. For the next six years, MXGP will continue in Shanghai’s Fengxian District, aiming to expand its fan base.
